MAFE - The Michigan Certification Board for Addiction Professionals is proud to announce a new examination titled, Michigan Addiction Fundamentals Examination. This exam is an entry level examination based on SAMSHA's Tap 21 and will benefit any person from entry level to seasoned professional
  • The examination, if passed, may be used for 35 specific contact hours towards initial certification or a renewal. This may only be done one time.
  • Two hours is given to take the exam which consists of 100 multiple choice questions
  • The examination was developed by the Southern Coast Addiction Technology Transfer Center and the Florida Certification Board
  • The fee to take the examination is $80 and is non-refundable. Cancellations will be not be allowed
  • The examination will be administered at least four times a year in conjunction with the IC&RC exam, in March, June, September and December
  • The two locations to take the examination are Lansing and Gaylord – the exam can be administered more frequently for the Lansing site upon request
Registration must be in at least six weeks before the exam date
