How To Register for an Exam
- Complete the registration form.
- If completing a Special Accommodations Form, please make sure that your physician or psychiatrist has completed the required form.
- Pay for the exam by going to our website via the Pay tab of our website. Be sure to choose the Exam option and pay $175 or $100.
- Submit all forms via email at info@mcbap.com or by fax to 517-347-1288.
- MCBAP staff will send an email indicating receipt of exam registration form, (and special accommodations) and payment, and detailing the process for choosing date, time, and location for the exam once Steps 1-4 have been completed.
- Exam applicant receives an email from SMT with instructions to register. If it is not received, the applicant should check their spam or junk folder.

Remote testing is available. Please review the rules carefully by reading them or viewing the What to Expect video produced by Prometric as it can present additional challenges.
Re-Testing
Candidates who fail an exam and need to retake an IC&RC examination must wait 90 days between attempts to take the test again.
To schedule a re-test, follow the same process as your original exam by sending in the registration form and fee.
