This course will look at necessary writing skills for social workers beyond the case note. Ethical writing utilizing the current NASW Code of Ethics will be discussed. In addition, the course will touch on the role of AI tools such as ChatGPT and explore ethical considerations in this area.
Objectives:
As a result of this course, participants will be prepared to:
Participants will gain an increased understanding of the role of ethics in writing case notes utilizing the NASW Code of Ethics as a model.
Participants will learn best practices for language to use in writing effective and ethical case notes.
Participants will learn a model for writing effective case notes.
Able to identify pros, cons and ethical considerations in the use of AI tools in clinical writing.
