Overview:

Stages of Change is one piece of the Transtheoretical Model, a model that was developed 40+ years ago in working with people that had substance use/abuse.  And 40+ years later we are continuing to find it useful across diagnosis and disciplines.  This training will provide a framework for understanding the process of change, the role of ambivalence within that process and additional skills to assist clients in moving through the Stages of Change.
